Metal Guide

Choosing the metal that is right for you can be tricky. That's why we've put together this easy to follow guide. But, should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Tungsten - Heavy and Extremely Strong

Tungsten rings are known for their heaviness and strength (10x stronger than 18k gold and 3x stronger than titanium). They never lose their shape and are the number one alternative to traditional metals. Due to tungstens dense composition, all rings must be plated to give them their impressive colours and shine.

Titanium - Light and Extremely Strong

Titanium rings are extremely light weight and strong. They are resilient and hard to crack. Most titanium rings are hypoallergenic, meaning they typically don’t cause a reaction on sensitive skin. All of our titanium rings are plated to give them their brilliant colours and finish.

Ceramic - Light and Very Strong

Ceramic rings are a very strong and hard-wearing alternative to traditional metal rings. Sharing the best qualities of Titanium and Tungsten, they are: light-weight, durable, and hypoallergenic. Made from Titanium Carbide, they are not to be confused with fragile ceramic pots and plates.

925 Sterling Silver - Light and Soft
Our 925 sterling silver rings are made from 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% alloy, making them superior in quality and design. Sterling silver rings are: light-weight, easy to clean, and hypoallergenic.

Resizing - Tungsten, Titanium, Ceramic & Silicone Rings

Due to the strength and nature of tungsten, titanium, ceramic, and silicone rings, they cannot be resized. That is why we always recommend getting correctly sized by a professional jeweller. But just in case, all of our rings come with a free size exchange to ensure you get the perfect fit.

Resizing - 925 Sterling Silver

Sterling silver rings can be resized only once. Further resizing will damage the structural integrity of the ring. IMPORTANT: We do not offer a resizing service as we do not recommend it. Should you need a new size in the future, we recommend taking advantage of our Lifetime Replacement Guarantee.

Scratch Resistance - Tungsten, Titanium & Ceramic Rings

We want all visitors to be wary of jewellers claiming their rings are scratch proof or nearly impossible to scratch. Whilst raw metals like tungsten and titanium are extremely scratch resistant, the plating used on all rings is not scratch proof. We use a process known as ion plating, this type of plating is what gives our rings their vibrant colours and also their deep blacks. Ion plating offers great resistance and protection for rings, but like all plating it can scratch if enough force is used. For anyone who wants to wear their rings "hard" we would recommend a companion silicone ring.

Plating - Tungsten & Titanium Rings

All tungsten and titanium rings are plated to give them their impressive colours and shine. Just like true gold, sterling silver, and platinum plated rings this plating will tarnish over time. How fast that happens depends on how the ring is worn and handled. We strongly advise against handling corrosive liquids (e.g. acids and paint thinners/strippers), or wearing your ring if handling abrasive materials (e.g. barbells and concrete). Please be wary of any jeweller that claims their tungsten or titanium rings will not tarnish over time. Should your plating become tarnished, we offer our Lifetime Replacement Guarantee.

Engraving - Tungsten, Titanium, Sterling Silver & Ceramic Rings

We do not offer an engraving service to protect our customers right to make a return. But, all of our rings can be engraved and we highly recommend laser engraving. Laser engraving will provide the cleanest and most desirable results. Due to the strength of our rings, we do not recommend traditional pen/hand/etch engraving as it can lead to poor legibility and comprise the strength of your ring.

Breakage/Cracking/Chips - Tungsten, Titanium & Ceramic Rings

Tungsten, Titanium and Ceramics rings are all made with very dense and extremely hard materials. This great hardness means they will not bend no matter how much force is applied. If a ring is crushed or ejected with significant force the metal will instead crack or chip. This makes these rings ideal and safe for anyone who finds themselves in an accident. Unlike gold and other soft metals, these rings will not bend, warp or crush fingers in the event of mishap.
